Continuing Education (CE) Trainings

PHA is proud to be an official Continuing Education (CE) provider through the California Psychological Association (CPA), offering opportunities for professionals to grow their skills and maintain licensure while improving care for perinatal families.

How to Earn CE Credits

Each year, PHA provides multiple educational workshops and trainings on perinatal mental health and wellness. CE credits are offered when applicable, and we now proudly provide three CE credits for our PMH 101 course, available both online and in-person.

To Earn CE Credits, participants must:

  • Attend the workshop in full
  • Complete the course evaluation form
  • Meet any course-specific requirements

Who is Eligible

PHA is approved by the California Psychological Association (CPA) to provide continuing professional education for psychologists. The California Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CPA CE credit is also accepted by the Board of Behavioral Sciences for their licensees. Out-of-state participants may also be eligible—please confirm with your licensing board.

Cost

PHA members earn approximately 6 CEs per year at no additional cost. Non-members are welcome to participate for an additional fee (cost varies by course).

CE Policies & Procedures

We encourage all participants to review our CE policies prior to enrolling:

Refund & Attendance Policy:

  • Cancellations are subject to a $10 processing fee and must be requested 48 hours before the workshop or training.
  • CE credit is only granted to participants who attend in full and complete the required evaluation. Partial credit cannot be awarded.
  • Live webinar participants must authenticate their attendance (via Zoom login) and complete the evaluation to receive credit.
  • Online course participants have 30 days from registration to request a refund, provided no sections have been completed or resources downloaded.

Grievance Policy:

PHA follows the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and ensures fair treatment of all participants. Concerns may be submitted orally or in writing and will be addressed promptly by PHA staff or board members. Options may include transfer to another course, credit toward a future training, or partial/full refund.

Non-Discrimination Policy:

PHA is committed to equal and inclusive treatment for all community and professional members. Our programs are free from discrimination based on age, ancestry, color, disability, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, immigration status, marital or parental status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, military status, or any other protected category.

Diversity Policy

PHA selects presenters and develops educational content with attention to cultural competence and inclusion. Our DEIA Committee and board leaders work to ensure that continuing education reflects diverse perspectives and meets the needs of all perinatal communities.
